Welcome to Digital Workflow Academy
What does the Digital Workflow Academy do?
We support every member of the clinical and technical team — helping you use their intra‑oral scanners to generate revenue, save time, and deliver consistently high‑quality digital work. Scanner training shows you which buttons to press but ends there. What our membership does is stays with you so you understand why to press them and how you will benefit. We guide you through the change from impressions to scans and continue supporting you long after. With certified training, expert‑led workflow webinars, and practical guidance on embedding digital dentistry into your Practice or Laboratory, our membership gives you the confidence, clarity, and momentum to thrive in a digital dentistry world.
Mentoring for Success
We deliver uncapped and ongoing mentoring, empowering every member of the dental and laboratory teams to reclaim their time, ease, and profitability, by using their intra oral scanners and digital equipment to the maximum of their capabilities. Co-Founders and Directors
Lamia Murray
Lamia leads with a people‑first philosophy. As she says, “Meaningful innovation only happens when the teams feel confident, supported, and properly mentored. Technology adoption is really all about people, and people need to feel confident, in order to adopt new ways of working. I love helping our members see the benefits of changing or improving their workflows. It’s an enjoyable process.”
Lamia’s work strengthens every level of a Dental Practice — embedding systems effectively, aligning clinical and operational goals, and guiding teams through the process of change with clarity and consistency.
Lamia’s mentoring approach is grounded in understanding how teams truly function. She knows this because she has been there! Her experience helps her to observe workflows, communication styles, operational pressures, and potential barriers to change. She then tailors her mentoring to build confidence, capability, and long‑term successful adoption. Whether she’s helping a practice embed new digital systems, refine leadership structures, or improve cross‑team collaboration, her focus remains on empowering people to thrive.
Lamia is a respected educator and mentor within UK dentistry. She has taught future clinicians at King’s College London and the University of Manchester, spoken at national dental events, is a published article writer, and mentored emerging leaders stepping into management roles for the first time. Her mentoring work often includes helping practice managers build confidence, supporting clinicians as they adopt new systems, and guiding teams through periods of growth or restructuring. She is known for creating environments where people feel safe to learn, supported to develop, and encouraged to lead.
Her dedication to empowering teams has earned national recognition, including nominations for Practice Manager of the Year at both the Dentistry Awards 2025 and the Private Dentistry Awards 2025 — a reflection of the impact she has made by mentoring teams through change properly and consistently.
OUTSIDE OF WORK
Lamia’s main interests outside work focus on fitness and wellbeing. She is a Qualified fitness coach, and coaches clients in pursuit of their personal goals.
David Claridge
David is widely regarded as one of the most experienced intra‑oral scanner specialists in the dental industry. Over 16 years and across 26 countries, he has mentored more than 4,000 professionals in IOS workflows — from dental nurses and clinicians to C Suite leaders of Corporates, dental practices, dental laboratories, and IOS manufacturers.
His digital expertise is reinforced by 25 years as the owner of two dental laboratory businesses, covering both general dental work and sports mouthguard production for schools and clubs. David is a national award winner, receiving the National Sports Technology Award for disruptive innovation in sports protection, and has overseen scanning at Olympic qualifying tournaments. David is a British Dental Industry Awards judge.
He created and delivers his lecture Scanomics , at events throughout the UK, Nordics, Europe, and the Middle East.
David’s profession is his passion, and his passion is the successful adoption of IOS workflows, across all sectors of the industry. As he says, “The most important part of an intra‑oral scanner is the person holding it. No one is adopting technology — they are embracing change. But so often, very soon after purchasing, the training ends, and the user is left suspended in the middle of the transition from the stone age to the digital one. And that’s where we step in, to take new adopters through the process of change and stay with them thereafter. By far the most common scenario we receive is “Can you help me? How do I scan for….”
I am delighted to be a Co‑founder and Director of the DWA, and I am genuinely excited to work with such an experienced team of ‘helping hands’, and proud to offer our services to our members.”
OUTSIDE OF WORK
David is a keen musician and multi-instrumentalist. He has released two albums of his own compositions, which were recorded in his home studio ‘Shabbey Road’. David is married to his childhood sweetheart, who he met when he was 16, in 1982. They have two adult children.
